Harry-Kane's-goal-secures-Tottenham's-1---0-victory-over-Crystal-Palace
Tottenham Hotspur secured a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace thanks to Harry Kane's 26th Premier League goal of the season. The win temporarily moved Spurs up to sixth in the Premier League and kept their hopes of European football next season alive.
After four consecutive Premier League games without a win and conceding 15 goals in the process, Spurs were determined to turn things around. The match got underway with Richarlison testing Sam Johnstone early on before Spurs defender Cristian Romero hit the woodwork with a header.
As the first half progressed, both sides had opportunities to score, but it wasn't until the stroke of half-time that Kane broke the deadlock, scoring his 209th Premier League goal and overtaking Wayne Rooney as the league's second all-time top scorer.
In the second half, Palace built some momentum, but Spurs held on to their lead thanks to some superb saves from goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. Spurs sealed their eighth successive home victory against Palace in the Premier League, while Palace suffered only their second defeat in their last seven league outings.
