Hilda Baci, the Chief Executive Officer of HildaFoods, is attempting to break the Guinness cooking marathon world record in Lagos, Nigeria. The event kicked off at 4 pm sharp at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, with Hilda Baci leading the charge to make history.
HildaFoods is a premium restaurant based in Lagos, offering a range of local and continental dishes. With this attempt, Hilda Baci hopes to inspire others and showcase the culinary talent that Nigeria has to offer.
The record to break is held by Indian Chef Lata Tandon, who set a Guinness World Record of cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019.
To break the record, Hilda Baci is attempting to cook for 96 hours, using extra 9 hours to break the world record as the first human on earth to spend such an amount of time cooking.
The record-breaking attempt will see Hilda Baci take an hour break in between every 12 hours of cooking, making it a grueling and challenging feat. Despite this, she remains undaunted and is committed to seeing it through to the end.
